Good Bye :(

This year is the last year of the hit t.v. show ER, and the season ender was last night. Over all it was a good ending but, disappointing because so many of the old cast members couldn’t be there. All the good characters had either died previously or just didn’t want to come back. So that was kind of a bumber.  It’s over and all that is left are the re-runs. Boo I already miss it.

Look out Winter, Spring is on its way. March 20th is the official first day of spring. With all the cold weather it will be nice to have some warmth and see some color. All the animals start to come out with their new babies and flowers begin to bloom. Ahh, the smell of the warm air, I can’t wait.

Solo & Ensemble

Solo and ensemble is a competition for both band, orchestra and choir participants. FMHS hosts this event and all of Northeast Colorado can attend. All schools in Ft. Morgan can and will attend. This year there will be 97 participants from Ft. Morgan alone, and more from other towns like Yuma, Wray and sterling for some. The way it is ran, is the musicians will be playing or singing, as solos or ensembles in front of a judge. They will be graded on technique, and fluency. The event will be held this Saturday, March 5, 2009, starting at 8:00 and is an all day event.

LOL…. :)

In Memorium

With all the sadness and trauma going on in the world at the moment, it is worth reflecting on the death of a very important person, which almost went unnoticed last week.   Larry LaPrise, the man who wrote “TheHokey Pokey“, died peacefully at age 93.   The most traumatic part for his family was getting him into the coffin.  They put his left leg in.  And then the trouble started.

Whoa

People need to learn how to drive. If you see someone in the cross walk, I believe it means you are supposed to stop and let the pedestrian cross. In this town though it seems to mean speed up and try to hit them. I know the girl should have looked before crossing but in a school zone you’re supposed to be pretty safe. Another thing is accidents in the parking lot. Before you start to back up or even pull away look at your surroundings. It’s not that hard if you see someone else already in motion they have the right of way. Maybe, some people never should have been given a license…?

Something New

High school is a challenge of many things, but we all look forward to our senior year, even as freshmen walking in, all you can think about is being done. They say your senior year is supposed to be the greatest year of your high school career, mine, however, has not been anything other than mediocre. I’ve got a new truck, managed to pass all my classes and live my life, like I has been since my freshman year. And I’m still waiting on the day when something new will find its way into my life.
